In this lesson we will:

  • Introduce DBT Cloud.

DBT CLI vs DBT Cloud

Please be aware that there are two ways to use DBT.

  • Command Line Interface (CLI) - This involves running a command line tool to manage and execute your transformations. The CLI is open source and therefore free to use and extend;
  • DBT Cloud - This is a managed, cloud hosted service which provides a user interface around DBT. This is a commercial and paid product.
